On Saturday, July 30th 200+ Gm Classic vehicles and their dedicated owners filled the Original Parts Group parking lot to gather in celebration of OPGI's 40th year anniversary. In the last video release of Kyle Lindsey's 1969 Chevelle sedan build, Kyle and his partner Joe made great progress getting the body and sheet metal work done. Original Parts Group was pleased to attend The Grand National Roadster Show last weekend. It was the annual show's 72nd year hosting the longest-running indoor car show in the world. In fact, over 500 show vehicles were on display inside the Fairplex building, including OPGI's 1966 Pontiac GTO, "The Tribute". On October 9th Original Parts Group will make their first car show appearance in over a year at the 33rd Annual Seal Beach Classic Car show, just blocks from OPGI's headquarters in Seal Beach, California. Year after year with the exception of 2020, the Seal Beach Chamber of Commerce has produced extremely successful car shows with amazing turnouts of over 500 classic cars, hot rods, and antiques for locals and car enthusiasts to admire. Original Parts Group's long-time customer Joey Mesa of Vallejo, California was part of the Chelu Car Club and a huge advocate of the Guamanian and Pacific Island community. He and his family own a Guamanian restaurant "Keepin It Island" and many people, including celebs, like CC Sabathia and E-40, would stop by just to talk cars, food, and most importantly family. With events being cancelled left and right, we know it is a disappointment to all of you enthusiasts who work so hard to get your ride show ready for your favorite Car Shows every year. We agree it is a bummer indeed, but we must not forget that a good percentage of these shows are held to help support many wonderful non-profit organizations. With shows not taking place, these organizations are losing out on donations they rely on each year…
As we slowly find ourselves leaving our "home offices" behind us and heading back to OPGI's headquarters, we also find ourselves very short on time to plan and host our Classic Car Show.
