Original Parts Group has held many car shows here in Seal Beach, California. Our first car show was in 2008, shortly after we expanded our business to this location. Our last show was in 2015, and this year, in discussion with some of his Marketing Team at SEMA, our President Dave Leonard mentioned having not one, but five shows, yes five! OPGI is excited to announce that we will be hosting five brand-specific shows throughout the spring and summer seasons here on location. Read more ›

Photos: Tobin Family, Story: Tony Colombini

After his 1963 graduation from High School, a ’64 Tempest caught the eye of Pat Tobin. He knew someday he would have one. Four years later he was drafted. Upon leaving the military in 1970 he started goofing around with cars. A ‘64 Chevy SS, a ‘70 Challenger 340, yet the Tempest eluded him. Then marriage and a family came and the car hobby came to a crawl.

Fast forward to 1998, Pat’s oldest son Sean found a ’67 Firebird 400 in Riverside, CA. Father and son started tearing it apart as the youngest boy Devin, who was nine years old at the time, even got into it. That car ended up getting sold before restoration due to Pat’s job change. Read more ›

Cassie Nunes and her ’68 Chevelle

Story: Tony Colombini, Photos: Brokken Images

I saw this Chevelle while cruisin’ on Instagram. The pics from Brokken Images caught my eye and my heart as I remembered the ’68 Chevelle I owned before the owner of this particular Chevelle was even born.

Cassie Nunes is a young lady who has been wrenchin’ in the garage with her dad Ernie since she was able to wrap her fingers around a wrench. She recalls that it was never a chore but good times that she thoroughly enjoyed. It was like watching a master at his craft and great father/daughter bonding time. Ernie has been working on cars since he was 15 and owns Conejo Auto Repair Services (C.A.R.S.) in Southern California. Read more ›
