Episode One: Interior Work
In the premiere episode of Season 8, the crew gets started on the interior of the Chevelle, installing original reproduction riveted-quality “Body by Fisher” step plates offered by Original Parts Group.
Sam opted to go with our flawless OPGI-manufactured reproduction sills that conveniently feature the timeless badge “pre-riveted” to the plate precisely how GM produced them in the ’60s and ’70s. These sill plates are officially licensed by General Motors so you know these are the real deal.
To enhance the beauty of the interior of the Chevelle further he threw in a full set of rubber floor mats. Our quality floor mats are made with the original script logo stamped directly into the mat and feature plush carpet inserts.
Episode Two: Exterior Work
Moving onto the exterior, in episode 2 Sam will seamlessly install a pair of SS and 454 fender emblems as well as a pair of our correctly manufactured zinc die-cast chrome-plated 1971 Chevelle park lamp bezels.
We manufacture the first and best reproduction on the market the old-fashioned way, in a correct zinc die-cast with a properly detailed paint scheme. Thousands of our “SS” emblems have been installed on Chevelles over the years with exceptional results that you will see firsthand in Sam’s installation.
Our 454 emblems are identical to the originals in fit, finish, and design. We recreated the emblem in all of its authenticity and it is guaranteed to bolt right up to your existing fender holes.
Episode Three: Mirror Reproduction Installation
In the final RESTOPARTS® installation episode, Sam installs a pair of outside mirrors that are an identical recreation of factory originals. There is simply no comparison to our entirely authentic mirrors.
The top of the base on our ’69-’72 Chevelle outside mirrors features the correct factory “bump” or rib-line while cheaper competitor versions do not. We also beefed up the case-hardened die-cast zinc end ball to ensure longevity and protection against mirror “droop”, which could be a problem with mirrors found elsewhere.
Each mirror also includes a premium mounting kit with an authentic-molded (not pressed) plastic gasket, mounting bracket, and screws at no extra charge. Sam did not compromise and neither should you, we are the manufacturer and guarantee this to be the best the market has to offer.
