Original Parts Group sponsors a handful of some amazing builds each year, and this 1970 Chevelle was irresistible. Not only are we a huge fan of the man behind this build, Bryan Fuller of Fuller Moto, but we are also fans of the NFL. This Chevelle belongs to none other than Tight End, #87 Jared Cook of the New Orleans Saints.
To get some ideas flowing for this project Bryan Fuller turned to Pfaff Designs. A few sketches were worked up and Jared had a tough decision to make. Would he go with all Black with Gold stripes or all Gold with Black stripes? Though it was decided earlier on to go for the Gold, Jared changed his mind and went with a Deep Black with Gold and Rose Gold racing stripes.
Original Parts Group supplied a large amount of the finest quality reproduction parts for this build, including a complete dash assembly that Fuller took a liking to, “That Original Parts Group Chevelle dash grows on me more and more all the time! Maybe a good thing the original got lost somewhere before we got it”, Fuller had said in an Instagram post. The premium reproduction dash assembly is identical to original and ready for installation in all 1970-72 models.
Although OPGI provided a nice amount of parts, we can’t take all of the credit. The Chevelle features a stainless exhaust system from Magnaflow and suspension from Hotchkis. Air conditioning components were donated by Vintage Air, and if you are in the South like Jared, you know air conditioning and heat are a must. ARP, Forgeline, Lincoln Electric, and Multicam USA also jumped on board providing only the best to complete this build.
“Jared’s been an awesome client to work with and I’m jazzed for him to drive this car when he gets a break during the NFL season.” –Bryan Fuller
We are pretty jazzed too, and can’t wait for you to see it at SEMA this year in our booth #23987. Be sure to stop by and check it out!
