With some help from Original Parts Group, award-winning builders Bryan Fuller and Jeremy Bumpus will repair, revive and restore a 1986 Monte Carlo as a tribute vehicle to the owner’s late father in an upcoming episode of Car Fix.

Tune Into MOTORTREND TV this Saturday April 29th, at 11am EST, but first take a look at how OPGI was able to assist the hands-on can do team restore the G-Body to its original glory days.

The guys will get the body ready for bodywork and paint. Using a mechanical stripper they will remove the paint, and repair any rusted areas to prep the Monte Carlo for a fresh paint job. The body panels that were too far gone will be replaced with new ones from OPGI.

With a precisely reproduced durable polyurethane bumper cover, taillights and chrome plated tail lamp emblems from OPGI, Fuller and Bumpus will convert the rear of the ’86 to an ’87-88 style bumper. You will notice that the mounting points and light and license plate reliefs are properly located on the bumper cover to ensure the guys a hassle-free installation as well as a factory original look.
